Club assists Peoria blood drive

Members of the Rotary Club of Peoria North assisted with the “Battle of the Badges” blood drive held Sept. 20 at Freedom Plaza in Peoria. The blood drive pitted members of local police departments against local firefighters in a quest to generate blood donations for the American Red Cross. Rotary Club members volunteering at the event included, from left, Rebecca Wilks, Belinda Moore, Cheryl Palmer and Gary Connelly. The blood drive was sponsored by Freedom Plaza and Brookdale Home Health.
