The Peoria North Rotary Club provided a recap of this year's Prom Closet community service project and thanked those who volunteered during its weekly meeting on May 22. This year's Prom Closet was held over five Saturdays in April and May and served 415 families -- more than 25% more than last year. The club also presented community service awards to the Glendale Elementary School District and Glendale Landmark Elementary School in appreciation of their support of the project. The Prom Closet is a Rotary-sponsored service project that provides formal prom attire to high school boys and girls. The event is held in April and May and over the past two years has been held at Glendale Landmark Elementary School. From left, Cindy Segotta-Jones, GESD superintendent; Donnis Deever, co-chair of the club’s Prom Closet Committee; Gina Schmitz, principal at Landmark Elementary School. A special thank you to all Rotarians and friends who helped make this year's project a success! And a special thank you to committee co-chairs Donnis Deever and Sue Bolton.
