Peoria North Rotary Club mourns the passing of Dwayne Cassill, a longtime member who passed away Nov. 25 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Dwayne was born Sept. 30, 1947 in Ottumwa, Iowa. In Iowa, he built and owned Cassill Motors, which 47 years later continues to thrive and is today owned and operated by his sons.
He is survived by his children, Roger and Colleen Cassill, Jay and Shelly Cassill, and Stephanie (Cassill) and Chad Prochaska; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and, of course, Joyce Hall, who remains a special friend of Peoria North Rotary Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted on behalf of Dwayne and his family to Carefree Church (note the name of the Cassill family), 5025 E. Carefree Highway, Cave Creek, AZ 85331.
Dwayne's positive attitude, friendly spirit and infectious smile will be missed, but always remembered.
