Greensleeves Orphanage Grant Funded

Four representatives of Peoria North Rotary Club toured projects with members of the East London, South Africa Sunrise Club a little over a year ago. We started talking with then then about projects we might work on together, and those conversations have now come full-circle.
The newly funded grant, with a total project budget of $18,300 US, will put equipment in the new kitchen at Greensleeves Orphanage (the image shows the previous facility) and provide equipment for Khayalethu Special School which serves developmentally disabled children.
We're very excited about this collaboration and hope to return to South Africa to visit the projects and renew friendships.
