Peoria North Rotary Club celebrates 10th anniversary

Peoria North Rotary Club celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special holiday party Dec. 18 at Briarwood Country Club in Sun City West.
Several founding members joined current and past members to celebrate the occasion.
Club President Gary Connelly congratulated club members for remaining true to its original purpose, which is to fulfill Rotary International’s mission of “Service Above Self.”
“Your efforts over the years have made a difference -- whether it’s serving schools in our community, ringing the Salvation Army bells at Christmas or assisting those in need throughout the world,” he said.
Eight of the club’s former presidents were recognized during the meeting. Each shared highlights of the years they led the club.
Past presidents in attendance were MaryAnne Baker, Dave Hammond, Janet Gregg, Ken Parsons, Rebecca Wilks and Katie Carmack. Bill Palmer was not in attendance, but sent a message of congratulations.
Entertainment during the event was provided by the Mountain Ridge High School Chamber Choir and Men’s Ensemble.
