Several members of Peoria North Rotary Club attended the 2018 District 5495 Conference held May 31-June 2 at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park.
Attending part or all of the conference: Bret McKeand, Ken Parsons, Sharee Sheets, Belinda and John Moore (as well as spouses Fran Parsons and Michelle McKeand). The conference began May 31 with the district's first-ever "Pursuing Peace Conference," which also was attended by several representatives from the Peoria Unified School District. The district conference officially kicked off on Friday and featured a number of great speakers and break-out sessions.
The club had a table in the House of Friendship promoting our Prom Closet. The table invited donations (clothing or monetary contributions). During a Friday night Hospitality Event, our club -- along with members from Glendale West, Glendale, Peoria and Litchfield Park clubs -- hosted an Italian suite and served up great Italian food and refreshments.
A special highlight at the Saturday luncheon: Sharee Sheets, our newest member, was singled out among the hundreds of attendees and presented with her first Paul Harris Fellow. Congratulations Sharee!
